Why this tool

Why sellers use a WhatsApp QR

Buyers should not have to type your number. A scan starts the chat you already sell in.

  • Opens a real chat

The QR points at wa.me with your number. Scanning opens WhatsApp on phone or desktop.

  • Works offline on paper

Print it on stickers, menus, and packing slips. The link lives in the code, not on a webpage.

  • PNG and link, free

Download the image or copy the click-to-chat URL. No signup and no watermark.

  • Stays on your device

Your number is turned into a QR in the browser. Nothing is uploaded to Orders App.

FAQ

WhatsApp QR questions

How the code works, what scanners see, and how it pairs with Orders App.

What is this WhatsApp QR generator?

A free page that turns your phone number into a QR code and a matching chat link. Add an optional message, then download the QR or copy the link.

What is a WhatsApp chat link?

A wa.me address for your number. Open it and WhatsApp starts a conversation with you. The QR on this page is that same link, drawn so a camera can read it.

What does a WhatsApp QR code do?

It encodes a wa.me link with your phone number. When someone scans it, WhatsApp opens a chat with you. If you added a message, that text is pre-filled.

Do I need WhatsApp Business for this QR?

No. Any WhatsApp number works for the QR itself. Orders App needs WhatsApp Business when you connect the app to capture orders from DMs.

Is this the same as the QR inside WhatsApp?

No. WhatsApp's in-app QR is mainly for adding a contact or linking WhatsApp Web. This tool builds a click-to-chat QR you can print and share publicly.

What phone number format should I use?

Choose the country code, then enter the national number without leading zeros that the country code already covers. Digits only. Example: India +91 and 9876543210.

Can I add a pre-filled message?

Yes. Anything you type is URL-encoded into the wa.me link, so the buyer's chat opens with that text ready to send.

Is the tool free?

Yes. Generate, download, and copy the link with no account. Orders App is separate if you later want DM orders captured automatically.

Where should I put the QR?

Packaging, stall signs, business cards, Instagram posts, email signatures, and menus. Anywhere a buyer can point a camera.

How does this relate to Orders App?

The QR starts the WhatsApp chat. Orders App sits on top of that chat and turns the conversation into an organized order list when you connect WhatsApp Business.
